Tealing for Mom

2011 my mom was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and had a stroke six months after that. At the time of the Multiple Myeloma diagnosis, they found a mass that turned out to be Stage IV ovarian cancer. My mom passed on Aug 22, 2013. I began volunteering with my local Austin Chapter a year later. Volunteering helped with the healing process. Being around survivors and loved ones who lost their mother, sister, aunt or grandmother was healing for me.

This is our 7th year participating in the Austin Chapter run/walk. Each year is an opportunity to share with the ovarian cancer community and to unite and raise awareness. Even though we are virtual this will be our best year yet! #2020theyearwequarantined

We are 10 weeks out from the big day! Help us reach our goal. 1 in 78 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in their lifetime. Until ovarian cancer touched my family we never heard of it. Now that we know we are not being silent about this horrible disease. Won't you help us make a difference and contribute today? Thank you in advance for joining us.
