Hi Friends and Family!

As you may know, we lost Colin's mom to ovarian cancer last year.

Kathy was a very healthy, organic-eating, 65-year-old, doctor and professor of pediatric physical therapy. She was suddenly diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. By the time her cancer was identified, it was too late.

What you may not know, is that Kathy's story is very common.

Did you know that according to the CDC, the majority of ovarian cancer cases progress to an advanced stage before the cancer is even detected and diagnosed?

We had no idea either. Unfortunately we do now, though.

Here's what really blows my mind.

Early-stage ovarian cancer has symptoms. They include irritable bowl syndrome and bloating. In almost all cases where ovarian cancer is detected early, the cancer is treated successfully.

Yet more often than not, these symptoms are misdiagnosed.

Women with ovarian cancer are often told their symptoms are likely just part of menopause and growing old. They're sent home without any additional screening. Their cancer continues to grow. Their pain becomes unmanageable - until finally, the necessary screening is performed and a correct diagnosis is made. By this point, their cancer is often terminal.

That was true in Kathy's case, too.

I think that's unacceptable.

That's why we are raising money and awareness in support of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's (NOCC) mission to prevent and cure ovarian cancer. We'll be running NOCC's 5k this September.

Here's where you come in.

Please consider making a donation to our team's fundraiser or sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar our team raises will advance NOCC's great cause.

Together, we can make a difference!

Thank you,
