Friends & Family,
I am very lucky and grateful to be here. Had it not been the my Gallbladder Surgery on June 21, 2017 we may not have caught this in time. I had NO symptoms and NO idea this was spreading inside of me and had reached Stage IV.
That said, two years after my last chemo I am alive and well and my follow ups (every three months) continue to show No Evidence of Disease!
Liz my ROCK, got me through this and my mother was right:
"Tu Va Etre Bien". She is still watching over me.
Many women are not as blessed and lucky as I have been. The disease is not caught early enough; they do not have access to the kind of medical care Sibley provided me, they do not have the means to obtain the care they need or the chemo and surgery do not work as well as it did for me.
Let's help those women and their families have access to proper care and a chance to Live.
Due to COVID there will not be an official walk. However, on September 26, kick off the day with an activity YOU CHOOSE to Run, walk, ride, skip, jump -- whatever gets you moving safely in your local neighborhood.
Then watch the online National Broadcast Celebration featuring stories and celebrating the accomplishments of our Teal community.
Please help me support National Ovarian Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to Team Caroline - 2020 and share this page with your family and friends.
Every dollar we raise will advance National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's great cause!
Together, we can make a difference!
Much Love
Caroline
