The NOCC takes the safety and well-being of our supporters, staff, volunteers and partners very seriously. As a valued supporter of our mission, you know that the Together in TEAL Walk series is a months-long effort to rally the community to support, honor and remember the women and their families that have been impacted by ovarian cancer. At the NOCC, we rely heavily on the engagement and fundraising activities in the months leading up to this one-day event to support our earlier awareness, quality of life, research and community outreach initiatives dedicated to helping Survivors and their families navigate their diagnosis.
At this time it is our intent to continue to host our community walk on Sunday, September 13th at Raccoon River Park. We assure you that we will continue to closely monitor the ever evolving information surrounding COVID-19 and carefully follow all guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local jurisdictions.
Our plans remain fluid during this time as many of those in our community are currently undergoing treatment and are living with compromised immune systems and we will not take any chances when it comes to your health. We will continue to remain in contact with you should any of our current plans need to shift. We will make announcements via email, social media channels and on runwalk.ovarian.org/iowa
We appreciate your continued support during this difficult time.
