As many of you know my Mom passed away from Ovarian Cancer in 1995. I still miss her every day. Over these past years I have participated in many 5K Run/Walks to raise money to help fight this disease. It's been awhile since I've been able to run a 5k but my brother Peter has inspired me to get back in shape. So this year on September 26th the two of us will be joining people across the country for "Together in Teal - No Boundaries'' and will run a 5K (Peter WILL run, I will TRY to keep up with him).
These past six months have been a very difficult time for many. I hope you and your families are well and staying safe.
If you are able to contribute to help with much needed research and to find a cure for Ovarian Cancer I would greatly appreciate it. I understand if you can not contribute at this time and would ask if you could think of Peter & I on September 26th and say a prayer for all the women who have passed away from Ovarian Cancer and those who are currently suffering from this disease.
Together, we can make a difference!
UPDATE --We did it! Peter and I met and exceeded our goal of running a 5k in honor of our Mom, Catherine Bertsch Hoey. We ran over 4 miles!!!!
Thank you to all who donated and gave words of encouragement.
Hopefully with everyone's continued support there will soon be a cure for this deadly disease.
