7 months ago, after several months of not feeling great, I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. My symptoms were common ailments that I could easily explain away...lower back pain, digestive problems, bloating. All stuff that I had experienced before and it always went away. This time it didn't. Ovarian Cancer is called the silent killer because by the time you realize what it is, the disease has progressed. There is no early detection tests like there is for many other cancers. I'm one of the lucky ones. After 7 rounds of chemo and surgery there are no signs of cancer in my body. It's time that Ovarian Cancer got the same attention as many of the other cancers out there. September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Please help me support National Ovarian Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. This year because of Covid-19 the walk is virtual. On September 26, Keith, Xavier and I will walk, hike or do some other healthy activity to raise money.
Every dollar I raise will advance National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
