In what has become an annual tradition, the girls and I will be honoring mom in just a few weeks by running/walking in the MA Chapter NOCC virtual 5K. This year, we will take to Elm Bank to complete the 5K while remembering all of our favorite things about mom.
Mom was a kind, strong, genuine person who loved children, animals, music and her favorite people. She was a young sixty years old when she died suddenly from complications due to having ovarian cancer that had gone undetected for far too long (receiving her diagnosis only the day before her passing). Ovarian cancer is known as the "silent kill of women" because there are no reliable diagnostic screenings and symptoms mimic many other common ailments. My mother's tragic and premature death could have been avoided. With all of the love that we sit with now, the girls and I want to do something to honor mom and for all women and families impacted by this horrific disease. Please help me support the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's great cause. Additionally, if you are so moved, please join us in running/walking this month for the NOCC! Thank you!
