Amy Fitzgibbon

Hello Family and Friends,
Thank you for stopping by our fundraising page for Team Sherry. As many of you know, my beloved sister, Sherry Lapointe, passed away on September 30th, 2016, after a nearly 5 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was an amazing person; wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, colleague and occupational therapist. Sherry showed such positivity, strength and determination in her battle and was awe inspiring to all those who knew and loved her. She touched many lives, not only through her work in a public school system as an occupational therapist, but through her courageous fight and her efforts to "Teal Up for Ovarian Cancer".

Sherry walked in the NOCC run/walk in 2013, as a survivor, creating "Team Sherry" with the phrase "Cowgirl Up" as a reference to her love of all things horse, country and cowgirls. She had hoped to walk again and to do so each year, as a survivor. Sadly, she was only able to walk that one time.

I promised Sherry I would carry on in her absence in increasing awareness for ovarian cancer and come September 8th, my family; Rob, Robbie, Alyssa and I, will walk again in Sherry's memory. This will be our 4th walk- third without Sherry physically with us. We will reminisce about her, share stories and camaraderie, and feel a little bit closer to her as we carry on her legacy in raising awareness and funds to support those battling ovarian cancer.

We'd love for you to join us in this journey; either by joining our team and walking with us, contributing to our fundraising efforts (any amount is appreciated!) and/or if you are not able to join us, physically or financially, we'd appreciate your positive thoughts and prayers. <3

Thank you for your support!
